(NEW YORK) - Jewelers of America (JA) has announced the winners of its 29th annual CASE Awards jewelry design competition. The CASE Awards, JA’s national design competition for jewelry retailers, recognizes JA Retail Members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.

National Jeweler announces 2019 Retailer Hall of Fame recipients

(NEW YORK) - National Jeweler has inducted five seasoned jewelry retailers into its Retailer Hall of Fame. This year, National Jeweler is honoring two single-store independent jewelers along with one multi-store independent. The 2019 inductees are Cathy Calhoun of Calhoun Jewelers, Julia and David Gardner of David Gardner’s Jewelers & Gemologists, and Judy and Steve Padis of Padis Jewelry.

(NEW YORK) - The excitement was palpable throughout the Jacob Javits Center as the 8 designers from the JA New York New Designer Gallery made their New York City fine jewelry trade show debut. Aimee Petkus, Julie Lamb, Linda Hoj, M. HISAE, Olivia B., Original Eve, Ravit Kaplan and S. Tree each carry collections with signature aesthetics that excited the judges and made for a difficult deliberation. Despite the tough competition, Linda Hoj was declared the 2019 Mort Abelson New Designer of the Year. Linda’s prolific collection blends modern artistry with ancient techniques and truly exemplifies the spirit of the New Designer Gallery, as well as the forward-thinking vision of this section’s founder, Mort Abelson.
