JFCOfficers to serve a second term

(NEW YORK) - The Jewelers for Children board of directors held elections at their semi-annual meeting in Las Vegas in June. Ten new directors were elected to the board and the current officers were re-elected to a second, one-year term. All terms will begin on October 1, 2018. 

MJSA Education Foundation awards $10,000 in scholarships

MJSAThe MJSA Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to advancing professional skills in jewelry making and design, recently awarded three students scholarships totaling $10,000. That amount includes a $2,500 scholarship provided by the Providence Jewelers Club Foundation for students enrolled in an eligible Rhode Island program.

American Gem Trade Association announces Board of Directors’ election results

Ruben Bindra elected President

AGTA(DALLAS) - The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has announced the results of its annual AGTA Board of Directors’ election. Mr. Ruben Bindra, of B & B Fine Gems was elected President. Mr. Jeff Mason, of Mason-Kay, Inc. was re-elected as a Director to the Board. Mr. Robert Bentley, of Robert Bentley Company, Inc. and Mr. Jaimeen Shah, of Prima Gems USA, LLC, were newly-elected. The President and the Directors-elect will take office in February 2019, and will serve three-year terms.
