(NEW YORK) – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry retail marketplace, showcased over 100 pieces of jewelry, many from JA Supplier Members, to the press during its Annual Fine Jewelry Preview on September 30, in New York. The event was held in conjunction with Cultured Pearl Association of America, Platinum Guild International USA and Silver Promotion Service, and was sponsored by Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company and Synchrony Financial.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show celebrates 55 years

Miami Antique Nov(MIAMI) - U.S. Antique Shows, the world’s leading producer of indoor antique shows, announced that their staple event, The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, will return for its 55th year. The show will be held at Miami Beach Convention Center, Jan. 28 - Feb. 1, 2016.

JIS Miami October Show reports largest attendance in history


JIS crowd(MIAMI BEACH, Fla.) – On Thursday, October 15, 2015 the jewelry industry descended upon Miami Beach, Florida for opening day of the Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) October jewelry trade show. By the time the show concluded on Sunday evening, JIS reports all prior JIS attendance records were shattered. Attendance reporting presented a 16% increase over the October 2014 event, also making it JIS’s largest year to year attendance increase in the show’s thirty six year history.

GIA’s Jewelry Career Fair & Open House draws 600+ attendees

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) - More than 600 job seekers and guests packed GIA’s headquarters in coastal Carlsbad on October 9, where 33 companies were looking to fill hundreds of positions during the Institute’s annual Jewelry Career Fair & Open House. Networking abounds at GIA’s New York Jewelry Career Fair

(NEW YORK) - On July 27, more than 600 people attended GIA’s New York Jewelry Career Fair where job seekers had the rare opportunity to meet in-person with representatives from 48 companies during the jewelry industry’s largest recruiting event. A wide range of gem and jewelry companies - including well-known brands such as Cartier, Christie’s, CIRCA Inc., Jewelry Television, Rent the Runway and Tiffany & Co. - looked for ambitious professionals to fill hundreds of positions. The program also featured a panel discussion with industry veterans and one-on-one coaching with 23 successful gem and jewelry professionals. JA New York was a major sponsor of the event.
