Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Lily from Ross’s Fine Jewelers

Introducing Lily! Lily lives the hard life of a shop dog at Ross’s Fine Jewelers in Kilmarnock, Virginia. The not quite one-year-old Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) brings so much joy to the employees as well as customers, who often pop in just to see her. When she’s not being carried around by her human, store owner Jennifer, she can be found napping in her special play pen or someone’s lap, eating, playing fetch or helping her mom restring pearls.

Say hello to Yogi! Yogi has been joining store-owner Greg Bires and Yogi’s owner Lynn Andalman at Windsor Jewelry in Indianapolis, Indiana for a decade. When the Australian Shepherd/Greyhound/Lab mix, enters the store he is “instantly the king of the showroom floor,” say co-worker Clayton Fleener. The Windsor family absolutely loves animals of all shapes and sizes, but the whole staff is euphoric when customers bring their dogs to the shop. Windsor Jewelry is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year.

Meet Koda. Koda is a 4-year-old Pointing Labrador who loves everyone! He is the beloved pet of Gary and Karen Youngberg, owners of Ames Silversmithing in Ames, Iowa. Working with his humans since he was just a pup, Koda was a bit rambunctious at first but has since settled down to the point “where he isn’t crazy all the time,” says Gary. During his tenure, the lovable Koda has converted some cynophobic (afraid of dogs) customers into dog lovers.

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Jinx of Sissy’s Log Cabin

Say hello to Jinx the Golden Retriever, the official mascot of Sissy’s Log Cabin with locations in Pine Bluff, Little Rock and Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. A fifth location in Conway, Arkansas is currently under construction. Jinx was adopted from Heart of Golden Retrievers and has brought much joy and devotion to the family of Sissy’s owners Bill and Sharri Jones. Jinx adores following Bill faithfully wherever he leads and snuggling with Sharri on cozy nights in. With Jinx and his pal Champ in mind, all Sissy’s locations are pet-friendly. “Furry Friends are always welcome!” says Sharri. The duo travel to all the Sissy’s Log Cabin locations. Clients call ahead to see if the dogs are there and in turn will bring their precious fur babies to visit. It is not unusual to find a dog birthday party happening at a Sissy’s Log Cabin store.

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet TJ from Tondens Jewelers

Meet TJ the Shih Tzu. TJ has been going to work with his owners, Tony & Denise Huynh at Tondens Jewelers in Houston, Texas since he was a little pup, 10 years ago. TJ wears many hats in the store from anxiously awaiting the first customer of the day, helping out at the bench, working on the sales floor and trying to catch as many naps as he can in between customers.  TJ loves coming to work every day and customers love seeing TJ every day.  He always brightens their day with a playful bark!

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Aaron and Leo from Medallion Jewelers

Say hello to Aaron and Leo (white on face). The two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels meet and greet customers five days a week at Medallion Jewelers in Portland, Oregon. These affectionate dogs spring into action when the doorbell rings and keep customers busy until Alex Talakoub and Janet Cormack, their humans, are available. Customers frequently mention the dogs in their reviews of the store and often return to get more of the boys’ love.
