Jewelers of America to offer Certification Exams at JA New York

The JA Sales and Management Professional Certification exams are open to all jewelry professionals

JA(NEW YORK) - Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, is offering its renowned Sales and Management Professional Certification exams on March 13, 2017 at the Jacob Javits Center during the JA New York Show. Certifications are open to all jewelry professionals with no studying required as the exams validate existing skills and knowledge. JA established the Professional Certification program in the late 1990s with the goal of raising the level of professionalism throughout the jewelry industry. In 2016, 70 jewelry professionals completed JA Professional Certification, for a lifetime total of over 650.

“Jewelers of America’s mission is to improve consumer confidence in the jewelry industry. When our jewelers have certified professionals on staff, it is an additional differentiator and consumer confidence booster that can help to build long-lasting relationships,” says JA President & CEO David J. Bonaparte. “We strongly encourage all jewelers to take a little time during the show to improve their business and get themselves or their staff members certified.”

Those who complete and pass the certification, receive valuable exposure to further extend the credibility of their skills. To provide further benefits, any JA member store that has a member of their staff certified in Sales or Management by April 30, 2017, will receive a feature for the store in the JA’s member spotlight on www.jewelers.org and on JA’s social media platforms.

The Jewelers of America Professional Certification program establishes national standards with two-hour exams that evaluate the proficiency of jewelry professionals at two levels. Those who register in advance to any of the exams listed below save $10 off the exam fee of $55 for JA Members and $75 for non-members.
